It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . .

Our family was so excited to wake up to snow today! We had a few inches overnight and after a yummy french toast breakfast, we braved the weather and headed outside (yes, we were church skippers). The girls & Linus had a great time in the snow and we even build a snowman, although he was a bit funny looking. We were surprised after our family nap with a visit from Josh's parent's who brought the girls each an ornament for our tree. Between their visit, the snow, and the ribeye steak we're about to eat, the girls are on cloud nine . . . they really love steak. =) It's been a fun day.
In other news, our house is decorated with our new fake tree (which we love), Christmas lights adorned outside, and fun crafts hung about. It's been fun getting the house ready for our sweet little girls because they get excited for everything. Christmas is really coming - we had our company party Friday night and the Police Association kids party yesterday where Santa came bearing dolls for both of the girls. It was a fun party with a million little kids running around waiting for santa to call their name, altough it's still hard to not know anyone! Annie was a holy terror because she did not want to sit still, but Syd had fun making crafts and eating all of the sweets they offered.
That's about it around here. We're going to snuggle up and watch a movie tonight and hopefully it will be too snowy to head to work in the morning (but nice enough to head to Hood River to go on the Polar Express train ride in the evening)! Josh was able to take Friday off for my work party and is now off until Tuesday night . . . wohoo!!

Here are some pictures of life around our house . . .

Syd was a little bit ticked because Santa forgot that she REALLY wanted a mermaid doll with a fin . . . not a doll!

Our funny looking snowman and a very scary looking mommy who came out in jammies!
Sweet little Syd - Annie was too excited to sit still for a photo op!

The girls had to open an early present because they didn't have a snow hat or gloves!

Our pipe cleaner snowflakes

The fake tree!

Our backyard a few minutes ago!

PS - The steak was really good! Kudos to my hubby AND the Treager!

I love this post! Sounds like such fun and cozy times over at your place! The pictures are darling and I'm laughing about Syd being ticked at Santa...he should have known better! Every little girl wants a Baby Alive!

Hey, I'm so sorry I couln't make it to the wreath party! It was a total last minute decision. I had been working a lot, sick kids, and Aaron had had a long week. They were all begging me to stay home! Ash and Abbey said they had a lot of fun. I would have loved to have been there!
